“Soumaya” is a film by Waheed Khan and Ubaydah Abu-Usayd with support from the Collectif Contre l’Islamophobie en France/ Collective Against Islamophobia in France.
Soumaya is an executive in a transport company. After fourteen years of employment, she learned overnight that she had been dismissed and discovered the reasons for her dismissal on television that same evening. She then decides to exercise a very particular right of reply.
A word about parental guidance: Some scenes (like armed police storming Soumaya’s apartment) could be frightening for small children.
